The OC1 (and OSDP compatible reader) reuse existing reader
cabling to minimise installation cost, and will eliminate the security
vulnerability of the traditional Wiegand interface between an access
control reader and the control panel.
Mounted close to the control panel, the OC1 provides a compatible Wiegand output to
allow the security of an access control system to be upgraded cost-effectively.
The integrated RGB LED provides a visual indication of the state of the link between the OC1 and
the reader.
Interfacing
The OC1 communicates using OSDP Secure to the reader over an existing reader cable, and
outputs the card data to an access control panel. In addition to the Wiegand output from the
OC1, a flexible interface is also provided to control the LED and buzzer at the reader.
