The

Protocol
(OSDP)
is
an
access

communication
protocol
adopted
by
the
Security
Industry
Association
to
improve
interoperability
among access control and security products.
When
access
security
systems
are
being
replaced
or
retrofitted,
OSDP
should
be
considered
as
an
alternative
to
Wiegand.
Many
card
readers
can
be
vulnerable
to
attack
when
using
a
traditional
Wiegand
interface
between the access control reader and the control
panel.
OSDP
offers
end
users
more
options,
due
to
its
interoperable and secure nature.

Safeguard against the security vulnerability of the
traditional Wiegand interface.
The OC1 interface together with RX series OSDP
compatible access control readers, can make full use of
existing cabling, which will minimise retrofit operations
AND installation costs.
OSDP offers end users more options, due to its
interoperable and secure nature.
