The RX series of OSDP Secure card readers.
For many years the Access
Control and Security Industry
concentrated on the security of
the data exchange between the
access control credential (card)
and the reader.
Early systems were quickly
compromised when cards were
cloned and security was
breached. Encrypting the data
between the card and the reader
provided a more secure interface … but
there was still a weak link in the systems.
Having encrypted the card to reader data, this data was
then passed to the access control system using industry
standard Wiegand protocol. Basically, and unencrypted
signal that is easily intercepted and copied.
Our RX series OSDP Secure readers offer complete
End-to-End security. This provides absolute certainty
that the access control system is protected from start
to finish by providing secure encryption of the data
from the card right the way through to the host
controller.
The RX3 series advanced access
control readers have a clean and sleek
style of design and is ideal for surface
mounting directly to most plain wall
finishes. It also fits directly onto a UK,
EU or North American electrical backbox. This
powerfully secure and innovative reader has a
beautifully clean aesthetic, and features an RGB LED
that can be applied to any applications, e.g., colour
access levels, migration status or mood lighting.
